Jalandhar: With the blessings of Sant Baba Malkeet Singh Ji (Bani Chancellor) and Sant Baba Dilawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji), and under the inspiration of Chancellor Sant Manmohan Singh Ji, students of the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) delivered an outstanding performance at INNO-TECH 2026.
The achievement was guided by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Dhir, S. Hardaman Singh Minhas (Secretary, Sant Baba Bhag Singh Memorial Charitable Society), and Dean UIET Prof. (Dr.) Jagdeep Kaur. The national-level technical competition was held on March 18–19, 2026, at Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala. A total of five teams comprising 20 students from the university participated, presenting innovative and technical projects across various domains. The event commenced on the first day with project exhibitions and evaluations. Competing against nearly 100 teams, all five teams from the university presented their projects before technical experts. At the end of the first round, two teams advanced to the final stage.
On the second day, selected teams competed in the final round, where a B.Tech CSE fourth-semester team from Sant Baba Bhag Singh University secured second position at the national level. The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 for their excellent performance.
The award ceremony was attended by Dr. Rajesh Grover (Director, Pushpa Gujral Science City), Scientist Nitin, and Mr. Vishal Sharma (Incharge, Innovation Hub), who presented the honors.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Dhir and Dean UIET Prof. (Dr.) Jagdeep Kaur congratulated the winners and all participating students, appreciating their efforts and encouraging them to take part in similar competitions in the future.
